How I can fix a trunk old age?

Seems to have existed since the 20's. It has a lot of rust around the seal and lock breaks, but I think it would be good again with a little TLC ………… I do not know how.

For metal parts, scraping all the rust first. Painting with antioxidant and then optionally with a metallic paint to make it shine. Clean away from the outside with a damp cloth and then see if you can restore the color right in the paint. Use a diluted paint at a time. Hide previously painted metal parts with tape so it does not spoil, and remove the tape later before the new surface is completely dry. You should block out or send it to an expert. Can you manage to work with the thin metal? If so try to make a substitution brass or stainless steel.
